Welcome!

A Blog was Born has been a labor of love, many years in the making. Please follow along as I document some of the biggest life lessons I have learned regarding marriage, motherhood, and making the most of young adulthood!

Happy 34th Birthday Jason

Happy 34th Birthday Jason

Happy Birthday Jason! I know it will be hard to beat this past year, but I hope the next 365 days of being 34 bring you more love, success, and laughs than you ever thought possible.

At 33 you became a homeowner and it's been amazing watching you help make our first house into our home. The random knowledge you have and willingness to "get your hands dirty" to fix a problem is appreciated more than you know.

We go grocery shopping together, meal prep as a pair, and make the best dishwashing- duo there is. Thank you for being my teammate through and through.

At work, you got promoted this year after busting your butt for the past 24 months - going into work early, emailing through lunch, staying late, taking conference calls at home after 8 and 9 pm, covering the work load during changes in your team's structure... all while we were planning a wedding and then building a house and moving. You continue to impress me with your strong work-ethic, savvy business sense, and strategic goal-setting. I couldn't be more proud of you.

You also continue to teach me about generosity and the importance to give back to the community. With your long commute and busy work schedule, you still managed to volunteer as a budget coach at Church and as a business mentor in the city. I see a spark in your eye when you talk about giving financial advice and I hope through this next year you will continue to find opportunities to share your time and knowledge with those who need it.

And as always, at 33 you've expressed how important it is to laugh everyday and make time for fun. Some of my favorite moments of the past year have been our Friday nights in, playing board games and eating pizza. Everyday you make me smile and laugh- even on my worst days. I am so grateful for your sense of humor.

P.S-Thanks for not being a sore loser when I beat you in Gin Rummy, Yahtzee, Skip-bo, Clue, or Guess Who.

I love you Jason. Cheers to another great year! Happy 34th Birthday!
